Ebay item 9/16/22
www.ebay.com/itm/155172793515
Current bid: $50,100 reserve not met 11 bids 6 days left in auction, seller gforcejim, 27k miles.

Seller's description:
This AMAZING vehicle is a One-Owner, 1963 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Flat-Floor Welded Louver Fixed-Head Coupe. These cars were ahead of their time, a True Road-Racing Car for the street. Advanced Engineering such as Unibody Construction and 4-Wheel Independent Suspension with Rack & Pinion Steering and 4-Wheel Disc Brakes. Powered by a 3.8-Litre 265HP Triple-Carb engine and a 4-speed manual transmission, this was a 150MPH Sports Car in 1963! And the curvaceous, slippery lines of the E-Type are widely considered to be the Most Beautiful Car Ever Produced!

The car has 27,308 Original Miles and is Factory Original in almost everyway and features the Original Title from 1962. The car has never seen rain or any inclement weather in its entire life. All number match per the Jaguar-Daimler Heritage Trust. The car was manufactured on September 19, 1962 and shipped to Jaguar Cars of New York October 1,1962. The car was used sparingly early in its life by the owner (who had other E-Types in his stable) and was maintained in a pampered state. It was kept indoors in its Connecticut garage until the owner moved to Florida. The car was transported in an enclosed trailer and returned to Home Garage storage here. He is now 85 and he will never bring the car back in his current health condition.

The Rigid Monocoque body is Original and has Zero Rust. It is Factory Straight with original panel gaps etc. It was painted in late 1962 due to a minor impact to the left front section on the dealership lot prior to the owner's purchase. The owner purchased the car damaged as a brand-new car with warranty and had the car repainted in its coded Opalescent Silver Blue with lacquer mixed by the dealer, which it wears in its entirety today (albeit lacquer-cracking and oxidizing in areas). The undercarriage was coated with rustproofing when new, as seen in photos. SOLID! All of the trim is present and All OEM Original. The Original Glass Headlight Covers are in place.

The Interior is All OEM Original finished in still-supple Red Leather and is, quite honestly, about as perfect as it can get......like Brand-New, needing near nothing......supporting the care the car has had over the years. After all this time it still smells like leather inside! The aluminum dash trim and console trim, chrome handles, gauge bezels etc are in excellent condition.

According to the Jaguar-Daimler Heritage Trust, this car is the 3rdof only 14 E-Type FHC LHD manufactured in Opalescent Silver Blue with Red Leather interior in the Early Run of production (only 22 total for both production runs for Model Year 1963). Along with the Original Title, the car comes with the Original Dealer Sales Brochure (in excellent condition) illustrating the rare and unusual color combination with a E-Type finished in Opalescent Silver Blue with Red Interior.

The car is completely original (other than thelate-1962 repair) and is in truly great condition. The original tires were replaced with Pirelli Radials (mounted on the Four Original-Equipment Wire Wheels) in 1973, which it still wears. The car was originally ordered without a radio, speakers or antenna. The Owner opted to have the Dealer install a radio, but then decided not to alter the body for an antenna, so the radio and speakers are properly installed and have never been used. The battery was removed after it expired over twenty years ago and the car has not been started since then. The car will need mechanical restoration befitting a car that has been unused for decades.

INCLUDES Original Tool Roll and Original Jaguar Dealer Sales Book

This is an AMAZING OPPORTUNITY to own what may be the last, most original E-Type you'll ever find!

It's likely the only Original Owner E-Type on the market........a Real Once-In-A-Lifetime Opportunity!!

The Rarest Of The Rare and one of the Most Coveted, Highly Desired German Sports Cars.

With Jaguar-Daimler Heritage Trust Verification, One-Owner status, Low Original Miles, an Original Never-Rusted Body, and an almost PERFECT Original Interior, this amazing E-Type is the prime candidate for a easy restoration and a HUGE valuation.

You could also mechanically refurbish the car and drive it in the physical condition it is in, as it is THAT NICE.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
