Seller's description:
This beautifully presented example was manufactured on the 11th January 1962 and left the factory finished in Cream with Red upholstery as it presents today. The E-Type was distributed out of Jaguar Cars, New York and supplied new to H F Lorion of Worcester, Massachusetts USA. The car importantly still retains its original engine, was imported into the UK in 2006, fully rebuilt from the bare shell, and has been with its most recent owner since 2012 covering less than 1000 miles since completion of the restoration.
The Jaguar was taken to the bare tub and completely rebuilt with photo record. The shell was prepared and painted inside, outside and underneath before being built up to show standard with re-plated brightwork through Derby Plating. The E-Type was converted to RHD, a full new wiring loom, new interior and mechanically built up with all new brakes, suspension, re-conditioned differential, overhauled cooling and fuel systems, rebuilt four speed all syncromesh gearbox and engine rebuild. A new set of chrome wire wheels and tyres and various new and re-conditioned ancillaries finished the E-Type off to a very high standard. All parts are listed in comprehensive invoices by the longstanding Jaguar E-Type Specialists who carried out the restoration.
Since 2012 the Jaguar has been part of a stunning collection alongside some of the most iconic cars ever built. It has had very occasional local use hence the low mileage, and a few months before arriving with us was subject of a major service with some detailed additional work at a cost of over £2000 ensuring the car is ready to use and enjoy. We can confirm that on the road 803 UXY is outstanding and note the car to be exceptionally quick. The fully rebuilt engine has sensational performance, offering fantastic power, acceleration and sound. The upgraded all syncromesh gearbox offers an improved driving experience with beautiful slick changes, and the braking, handling, and steering feel perfect on the road. This is a terrific car to drive, its powerful, strong and will not disappoint on the road.
803 UXY is beautifully presented with a stunning, gleaming Cream paint finish and exceptional, clean, straight bodyshell. The chrome work is top quality, the underside and engine compartment stunning and the interior of the car offers a glorious Red leather upholstery with fabulous internal brightwork and a perfect headlining. This is a first class car with a well-documented restoration file and British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate confirming the origins of the car. These Flatfloor, welded louvre bonnet cars are rare and highly desirable so we look forward to finding a new home for this magnificent example.

The louvers are welded in aftermarket products, where this car originally would not have them welded in at all.
