Jaguar E Type 3.8 Roadster 1963
This has to be one of the most desirable sportscars for sale in Australia.
The history of this car is very interesting, it was purchased in the UK for the purpose of a very expensive restoration and delivered in a sparkling condition to it's new owner in Hong Kong, no accurate details are available but it was obviously owned by, shall we say , a person of means.
From there it went to New Zealand where the current owner purchased it last year after a thorough check, on arrival in Australia it was again checked by his local experts and complied to local regulations.
As the owner is very much a Jaguar fanatic everything visible was checked and pronounced in good order,then, unfortunately a low speed impact damaged the bonnet and it was in need of repair.
I was asked to find a suitable repairer and after careful checking it was transported to the Jaguar specialist repairers CONCOURS RESTORATIONS in NSW.
When it reached Concours the owner decided that it deserved a COMPLETE paint and body restoration regardless of cost,( $$$$$$$ don't ask), the result, SUPERB.
The car was stripped to bare metal and any defect , however minor,was corrected or replaced,( a complete photographic record was kept and can be made available to interested bidders)
NOW FOR THE IMPORTANT DETAILS
The car drives superbly;
effortless acceleration due to low back axle ratio;
the most comfortable ride imaginable;
superb exhaust tone;
surprising economy, 27 mpg achieved by myself;
completely rust free;
perfect underside, no leaks !;
and last but not least LOOKS the ultimate head turner
The car is in the wide bay approx three hours north of Brisbane and is available to view and drive by appointment at any time.
Virgin flies to Hervey Bay from SYD and MELB.
I would recommend that interstate or overseas bidders obtain an independant report, many capable companies advertise on line.
This car will also appear on Concours Restorations website.

As it will be advertised elsewhere I reserve the right to withdraw this offer.
