Ebay item 8/8/15 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-Roadster-/121725447433
Car has a buy it now price of $63,000 for 6 days.
Sellers description:
1963 Jaguar Series 1 E-Type
A Rare find- Last registered in 1983
Covered Headlights, Toggle switches, Aluminum dash & Center console. Everything that makes the early E-Types Great!
Excellent car for a restoration
VERY Solid car with no problems in the usual areas
Floors (dented from improper Jacking), Sills, Trunk/spare tire area are all in great shape
ORIGNAL TOOL KIT INCLUDED
This car has what I believe to be an amazing 15,751 Original miles
If you see the photo, There is a service sticker when you open the drivers side door that has the date of 5/25/1984 .... With 15,227 Miles noted. The car now has 15,761 Miles. Being the car was last on the road in 1983-1984 and with the slight mileage increase. I would guess it was driven and then put away shortly after the service. All though there is no way to know for sure.
The body lines are very good, and the paint is older. you can see it will need to be re-done- It still shines up well but has many imperfections.
The top is in Decent shape with a cloudy rear window, and a tear in the bottom seam.
The car has later jaguar seats as the clam shell seats in it originally were uncomfortable
The car is non numbers matching and has a 4.2L engine from a later XKE- Currently is not running
It Still retains the wonderful aluminum dash and center console that gives early Jaguars their iconic look.
