    • Complete with owner's manual, wheel removal tools, and correct 19-piece tool roll
    • Rare, optional, factory hardtop included with sale

This striking sand colored E-type with tan leather interior was originally sold in Littleton, Colorado in 1963. Its previous owner was an investor who stored the car for 15 years, intending to restore it but never did. The current owner purchased it in 1996, after which, a comprehensive restoration to exacting specifications was started. Workman Restorations began the restoration by removing every part from the body and starting from the ground-up.

In 1999, the car was transferred to another Jaguar expert, Lundquist Restorations in Salt Lake City, Utah. With over 30 years of experience, Michael Lundquist has had many of his restorations take top honors at national JCNA judging events, including First Place awards at Palo Alto and Phoenix in 2011 and 2012, respectively. According to Mr. Lundquist, every last detail was taken into account, resulting in the finest E-Type he has had the privilege to work on.

Currently, the odometer reads just over 49,760 miles from new, with only minimal test mileage since the restoration was completed. While the car was running in perfect order a year ago, the owner has continued to make sure every other detail is just as perfect. In addition to the owner's manual, wheel removal tools, new car cover, and correct 19-piece tool set with new tool roll, this E-Type also includes a rare matching hardtop with correct chrome trim. Along with the Heritage Certificate, the owner notes that over $80,000 was spent on restoration, and a fully documented binder, including photos and receipts, is available for inspection. Having never been shown previously, it would make a spectacular debut at any JCNA event.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
