Sellers description:
This 1963 Jaguar XKE is presented in Opalescent Dark Blue with Tan interior. The 3.8 liter six cylinder is back by a Moss four speed gear box. This jaguar was found in its original condition after many years sitting in a climate control facility. It has a soft top as well as the most sought after hard top. The tires have been replaced with radials for better handling, but the rest of the car is original and untouched. We have had it in our private collection for some time, but due to market changes we have pulled it out of our collection to offer it for sale at this time.

This 1963 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that was acquired by the selling dealer in 2013 and was the subject of a four-year restoration ending in December 2021. The work included sheet metal repairs, refinishing the body in its original Cream color, replacement of the seats with factory-style fixed-back versions, reupholstering the interior in red, mechanical overhauls, and installing new stainless steel exhaust tubing. The wiring harness, chrome trim, and switchgear are also said to have been replaced among other items. Power is from a 3.8-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and the car features original-style fixed back bucket seats, a black soft top, 15″ 72-spoke wire wheels, an AM/FM radio, Smith instruments, and aluminum interior trim. This XKE roadster is offered with restoration records, a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, and a clean North Carolina title.

The body was disassembled, soda blasted, repaired with new sheet metal, and repainted from blue to Cream as shown on the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate. Brightwork was replaced or polished according to the selling dealer. Exterior details include a replacement black convertible top with a matching boot, dual sideview mirrors, an Amco-style front bumper guard, headlight covers, and integrated hood louvers.

Chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels wear Pirelli Cinturato tires. A full-size spare wheel, a knock-off hammer, and a jack are stored under the trunk floor and are pictured in the gallery below. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with inboard rear rotors. The suspension components were replaced with new parts throughout according to the seller.

The cockpit has been reupholstered in red as indicated on the Heritage Trust certificate and features replacement factory-style fixed-back bucket seats joined by matching carpets and door panels. Equipment includes patterned aluminum trim on the center stack and console, a black shift knob, lap belts, toggle switches, a heater, and a push-button AM/FM radio.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock. The five-digit odometer shows 61k miles, and total mileage is unknown. Additional gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are housed in the center dash.

The 3.8-liter inline-six features dual overhead cams, triple SU carburetors with polished bells, and a new stainless steel dual exhaust system.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists a December 4, 1962 build date followed by dispatch on December 13 to Jaguar Cars in New York. Additional information includes factory interior and exterior colors as well as drivetrain, body, and chassis numbers, the last of which matches the stamping on the reproduction chassis plate in the engine bay which is mounted over the stock plate.
