Car to be at auction 6/17
www.coys.co.uk/cars/1962-jaguar-e-type-series-i-3-8-roadster

Auction description:
ESTIMATE £55,000-£60,000
Auction Coys Fontwell June 2017
Lot Details
Lot Number 116
Reg. Number EU Taxes Paid
Chassis Number 877711
Year 1962
Make Jaguar
Model E-Type Series I 3.8 Roadster

This early matching numbers example of the Series 1 3.8 was sold via Jaguar Cars New York to a Mr. W M. Polglase, who took delivery of his brand new Jaguar just in time for the summer of 1962. The Jaguar was finished in the classic combination of Carmen Red with a black leather interior.

Presented in good condition (with the exception of the interior which is starting to show its age a little), this original and well preserved E-Type is perfect for either light sympathetic restoration or a full concours rebuild. The E-Type is offered with EU taxes paid and the associated NOVA reference for future registration in the UK or abroad. With the price of restored cars selling regularly for over £200,000, we feel this example is very well priced in the current market.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
