This 1963 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that was built on May 17, 1962 and modified during previous ownership with a Pontiac 236ci OHC inline-six and a four-speed Muncie manual transmission. The car has been refinished in red over beige leather, and equipment includes a Clifford intake manifold, a tubular header, a Holley carburetor, a JVC CD stereo with Pioneer speakers, headlight covers, four-wheel disc brakes, and knock-off wire wheels. This XKE was acquired by the current owner in 2012 and is now being offered by the seller on their behalf with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate and a clean California title in the current owner’s name.

Originally finished in Sherwood Green, the car was repainted in its current shade of red under previous ownership. Features include a black soft top, chrome bumperettes with overriders, a vented hood, headlight covers, and dual side-view mirrors.

Chrome-finished 15″ knock-off wire wheels are wrapped in 205/70 Michelin X-One all-season tires. The car is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rears.

The seating surfaces are upholstered in beige leather with a matching center console, deck cover, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include a JVC CD stereo with custom-mounted Pioneer speakers, a heater, a wood shift knob, and two-point seat belts. The seller notes the parking brake has been removed.

A wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer. Gauges for water temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are mounted in the center of the dash. The five-digit odometer indicates 61k miles, less than 10k of which were added by the current owner. Total mileage is unknown.

The Pontiac 236ci OHC inline-six was installed during previous ownership and features a Clifford intake manifold, a tubular header, and a Holley four-barrel carburetor. The engine is noted to smoke during acceleration.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a four-speed Muncie manual transmission. The seller notes that the frame rail was modified to accommodate the engine swap. Rust is evident on the underbody along with damage to the lower front valance.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate indicates a production date of May 17, 1962 and displays the factory colors and serial numbers.
