Car returns to ebay 2/17/14
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111281682122
Classified ad price: £35,000. Now said to be in Lower Swell, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom
Sellers description:
1961 XKE Jaguar Roadster LHD for sale
Flat floor
Date of manufacture: 17 November 1961
Chassis no: 876144
Matching numbers apart from the body number being 21 numbers later than the heritage certificate. Possibly a stamping mistake in the factory as the correct shell's original colour is under the gold paint.
Not original rims
There are quite a few parts missing as you can see in the pictures
Not original bonnet
U.S title and C&E 386 import certificate present (taxes paid)
In need of full restoration

God loves a trier they say!! let's see now : wrong seats , S2 centre console , S2 fans and probably radiator , much later washer bottle, wrong bonnet ( and just laid on top ) , broken bonnet support frame , what looks like perforation of the underside near one of the radius arm mountings - and so it goes on. What a heap of rubbish !
