I don't know if it's correct but this car appears to have retrofitted footwells added to the original flat floors. In theory this was offered by the dealers to owners of earlier cars but I've never actualy seen a set. My exposure is limited, though.

In 1997 I parked my '65 FHC (1E30036) next to a late '61 FHC, at the Monterey Historic races. In my conversation with the owner I learned that it had been a flat-floor car, but had had footwells added by someone (dealer?) at a later date. The footwells were obviously fabricated (not stamped), but the job was well done. I regret that I did not note the car's chassis no.

Not a valid entry. Duplicate entry of engine and gearbox from 876017. Which is it?

The information and photos from 876017 were moved here. If you look at the photo of the dataplate you can see the extra hole drilled in the plate on the red car which was also present on the pre-restoration photo of "017." The original poster made a typo.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
