Look behind the instrument panel, that area is usually undisturbed.

Reported sold for €160,000 28 July 2024 in Kevelaer, Kleve, Germany. Seller’s description (summarised) follows.

Restored ‘Flat Floor, Welded Louvre’ Roadster, in Gunmetal over red colour scheme.

Manufactured in November 1961 and delivered via Henlys Limited, London originally painted in Gunmetal over a Biscuit leather interior with a Fawn roof. The cabin has since been retrimmed in red leather, and has benefitted from a major restoration. During the restoration, the seller states the bodywork, interior, engine, gearbox, axles and braking system were overhauled, as well as a new wiring harness and lighting fitted. With its current owner for nine months.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
