The E-Type we offer is the NO. 280 of only 390 vehicles produced as Outside Bonnet Lock (Flat Floor). The vehicle was delivered to its first owner by Jaguar Cars New York in August 1961. The car probably spent the years up to 2001 in the USA and was then imported to Austria. In the last 20 years, the E-Type has been driven around 4,000 km in order to maintain its technical condition and to ensure necessary improvements. A current and detailed valuation report has been commissioned and can be forwarded if you are interested. The flat floor was put through its paces in our master workshop and a compression test was carried out! The big cat can be released into the wild on the streets at any time, but also makes a stylish and elegant addition to any garage as a collector's item!

Only 390 vehicles of this very special Jaguar E-Type Series 1 3.8 Flat Floor (Outside Bonnet Lock) were built worldwide.
The model offered here was built on July 24, 1961 as the 280th car and was delivered almost a month later, on August 16, at Jaguar in New York. The E-Type therefore remained in the USA until 2001, where it was partially restored and then imported to Austria. It remained there under the same ownership for 22 years. The car recently underwent a complete overhaul in our specialist workshop. Many new parts were installed, everything was checked and made usable. A compression test shows the “flat floor” and its in-line six-cylinder engine have the best values. All documents, invoices, certificates and appraisals are included in the offer.
The 3.8 liter six-cylinder produces a whopping 269 hp and delivers a maximum torque of 353 Nm. These values ensured an impressive top speed of 241 km/h. The vehicle is currently at our location in Kufstein. Typical for both Austria and Germany.
