Seller's description:
Jaguar E-Type roadster OBL 1961
The date of manufacture of this jaguar E-Type was 20 July 1961. It was delivered by the original distributor Robert M. Trad in Beirut, Lebanon to its first owner Mr.Sanin Ghandour.
Number 259 left the factory in a very nice color combo of Opalescent Silver Grey over a black interior and a black soft top.
The LHD Jaguar Ots further history is rather vague. We know that the car came to it’s Dutch owner in 2014. Before that a German owner drove this unique Jaguar for ca 20 years.
In 2021 a complete nut and bold restoration was started. Everything was done like:
Engine and gearbox rebuild, Bare metal respray, completely new interior and cabrio hood
The restoration was done on a very high level and the car’s looks and drive quality are superb
The car was ‘done’ with as much respect as possible to the ‘soul and character of this iconic model.
Where possible the original parts were reused, rechromed, rebuild and preserved.
Now OBL nr 259 is presented in its original color Opalescent Silver Grey with a black interior and cabrio hood.
The car has only been driven for a few hundred kilometers for testing purposes.
The restoration is completely photo documented in general and in detail.
This excellent restoration was done by a well-known European specialist.
