This happens quite often. And the tag or vin plate looks original to me!
E.g. Body no. 885013 = V1025, while 885017 has V1021 - this is not that out of range but also unsequentially....
You find this irregularities with engines quite often. The engines queued to be installed. Maybe they had additional Treatments or were forgotten and installed in later cars, etc.....
AT Jaguar they didn't simply car about these details
