875184 ,was acquired by its current owner in Minnesota in the summer of 1966. Sometime before this the car had reportedly been rolled. At the time of acquisition, the convertible top and frame were missing, the car was fitted with a fiberglass hardtop, and it had been re-painted a grey mist color. Minor work was done in the summer of 1967. It was driven, only in dry weather and not in the winter, until 1971, when it was put into storage. About 1990, restoration was begun, and this was still going on in late 1991. Restoration work to that point included dipping the body, replacing the frame rails and front hood support, an engine rebuild with replacement of 10 valve guides, an overbore, and grinding of the crank.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
