875096 was first registered in New York in 1961. From at least early 1977 to riu'd-1982, it was located in Indiana, and had at least two owners there. Prior to that it had at least two other owners, and changed hands at least in 1966. It was reported to have been used for a record quarter-mile run In association with the American Hot Rod Association in 1967. It was sold at the Barrett Jackson auction in Phoenix Arizona in Spring of 1990, and, by late 1991, it was located in the UK. At that point it was described as being in very good condition. The original engine block, R1123-9, had reportedly been replaced.
