Description:
Manufacturer: Jaguar Mileage: --
Model: XKE Year of Registration: 1964
Type: Coupe
1964 Jaguar XKE Coupe. Chassis Number 861708 so it is number 1708 of only 1798 RHD 3.8 liter Coupes built 1961 - 1964. Equiped with "Webasto" Opening Sunroof which makes it as fun as a convertible but much more practical. Fully restored in USA to a very good driver's standard. Numbers matching original engine, head, gearbox etc.ABSOLUTELY NO RUST - much new sheet metal including entire bonnet assembly, door skins etc.when the car was restored. All new interior with black Connolly to the seats etc. New Michelin "Redline" tyres. I've owned and driven this wonderful car for a couple of years now and I purchased it in Chicago, USA in it's restored condition so I don't really know the history such as when it came here, who restored it etc.I have the original British registration plate - CBL273B but the car is currently titled and registered in Oregon, USA. However I do know that it is an outstandingly good car that is driven regularly and frequently (consequently it IS NOT a trailer queen and therefore not likely to win at the typical USA Concours d'Elegance events which usually feature grossly over-restored cars that are never driven). My car however is an excellent driver - it maintains 50 lbs psi oil pressure, compression is 155 lbs psi on all six cylinders and doesn't overheat even on our hot summer days!! (an American made cooling fan has been fitted)! There is an oil leak (I believe it is the rear main seal) but the car does not burn oil or smoke. The car is missing it's tool kit and radio. Otherwise everything works properly. Absolutely no collision damage or rust.Car is located in Portland, Oregon USA
With zero bids on this auction the starting price is listed as GBP 15,000.00 (Reserve not met)
