Heritage Notes

Interior change from Dark Blue to Maroon by owner preference

Owner: Gordon Crennell

I live in Chester in the NW UK with my partner Cynthia. I am a retired (early!) ship's Captain and along with Cynthia I live with 5 Jags and a permanently impoverished bank balance! Being Treasurer of the local regional branch of the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club here in the UK doesn't help (really!!)

This car underwent restoration in Coedpoeth near Wrexham over more than four years from 1998 to 2002, deliberately retaining originality of materiels but using finishes and techniques to give it greater longevity & adding some 'comfort' touches for the tall driver (eg. the seats are bolted permanently to the rear of the mounting rails). The only non-original major part is the use of a Kenlowe electric fan.

Gordon, The car looks really nice, the gunmetal really suits the car as well. Thanks for the comments on mine. 876160

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
