Sold by Twyford Moors Classic Cars of Clanfield in January 2018. Seller's description below.

Chassis number 860524, This immaculately presented Jaguar E Type roadster started life as a fixed head coupe but was expertly converted during a full restoration in 2002. This is an original UK right hand drive car and all the numbers match. The restoration work was well documented and the car comes with a nice history file including photographs of the restoration and a heritage certificate.

The restoration work on this E Type was carried out to the highest standard, the car has never been driven in the rain since then and has covered less than 5000 miles. As a result this E Type is in top condition and wonderfully presented throughout. The car is considered to be such an excellent example that it is featured in Glen Smale's 2007 book 'Jaguar E Type' published by Heynes as the example of the perfect E Type series 1 roadster.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
