The car was purchased by the current owner in 1976 when 14 years old. There were no signs of much previous restoration and certainly on stripping to a bare shell no signs of opalescent silver grey paint anywhere on or within the body.
The heritage certificate states that it was opalescent silver grey but there must have been some confusion or a change of mind at the factory which was not documented properly as the car has certainly always been opalescent silver blue.
