There is a car for sale on eBay which has a UK V5 registration for 860468
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/E-type-Jaguar-1963-Series-1-Replica-/142257331222
However the car is also said to be a Challenger e-type replica. These have a GRP replica body mounted on a separate Challenger space frame chassis.
Therefore the car shown is mis-represented as being registered on the V5 as an e-type because it does not have any of the e-type's body or structure. It also has an XJ6 engine from a much later car.
It is probably the case that 860468 was scrapped and various parts used on this replica.
Buyer beware.....

The eBay advert said:
The car is in excellent condition having been a restoration project and has had only 2 owners. It now has 2 Log books; One is for the Orginal car reg 01-01-1963 and the second log book is for the replacment engine which is an XJ6 4.2 Reg 25-01-1974
This vehicle is a Triple C Challenger E-Type Jaguar Replica; the engine is from a 1974 XJ6 4.2 along with the dash board.
The body is a replacement fibre glass body (As most are these days) so it will not rust. It is in very good condition all round and a real head turner.
We have a letter from the Jaguar Heritage Trust, and the log book, which also says it an Historic vehicle. See attached photo.
