1962 Jaguar E type 3.8 FHC. This is a very early car, number 279 off of the production line. It is an original UK supplied, right Hand Drive motor car supplied by Henleys of London. It has been the subject of an older restoration which was completed in 1999 and has been in the same careful ownership for the past 17 years. It has an original 4 speed moss box coupled to a fully rebuilt 3.8 replacement engine which has plenty of power and holds excellent oil pressure. The present owner has used it sparingly throughout his long ownership and having now decided to sell, we have recently carried out minor cosmetic improvements to the look of the engine bay to bring it into line with the rest of the car. When driving this car it immediately becomes apparent that it has been well maintained as the suspension feels very positive and both the steering and brakes give no cause for concern. With the car is a detailed history file, essential with a car such as this, from which it is clear that the restoration was an enormous task, the results of which speak for themselves.
