Last known owner Graeme Phillips from Manurewa, South of Aukland. In a letter published by Graeme in Jaguar Driver Feb 96, he wrote: the car has vague history, other than Rossleigh jaguars sold this flat floor E, to a Scotsman who later took it to NZ.Graeme purchased the car in about 1990.The car had the welded louvred bonnet, alu rad and early jack. At the time Aug 97, Graeme was looking to restore the 3.8

Have owned this car for 18 years, still waiting to win the lottery and restore it. I have some history / information from a previous owner who purchased the car in 1965 in Aberdeen and brought it to NZ in 1970 after being in Scotland since new. First owner possibly a Doctor. Second owner perhaps a Mr Dunbar. Third owner may have been named Buchan or Buchanan. All prior to 1965. Also appears to have been painted Gold by an early owner pre 65 if Cream is indeed correct as the original build colour. Would be very interested to learn any history of this car. In the meantime it sits and waits. Hopefully back on the road before her 50th.
