Chassis 860087: 1961 Original Flat Floor 3.8 Fixed Head Coupe with Welded Bonnet Louvres.This is not just a Series 1 E-Type but one of the highly-prized 3.8 litre ?flat floor? examples. With only 631 right hand drive cars ever built out of a total of 72,515 E-Types this is indeed a very special car. Here is a brief synopsis of the car as we know it.....Built in 1961 during the first year of production, it is one of the first 90 produced. It was restored to as near 100 point Eye Watering Concours Standard by E-Type specialist New Forest Cars in 2014-2015 and is finished in stunning Sherwood Green (it was Opalescent Green originally) The numbers on the car are confirmed by the JDHT Heritage Certificate and the body tag and chassis plate. There is confirmation from New Forest within the history file that it was all done to original specifications.The car has the correct limited slip differential and bellows activation disc brakes, all the interior trim, dash, gauges, Sterling wheel, carpets, headliner, etc are as 1961. Tools, jack and spare wheel are present.The car has two keys (one key fits all locks and starter)Worthwhile Upgrades:Hi torque starter motorFosseway electric cooling fan fitted to the correct radiator.Halogen headlights.The documents with the car show it spent some time in Marbella, Spain when at the time it was painted red. We have paperwork and some photographs showing this, which also confirms the chassis number. Other documents include extensive important photographs and paperwork from and during the comprehensive restoration which show all the work in great detail. Also included are book pack, handbook, stickers and labels from the car having being proudly shown at Salon Prive and runs to Goodwood.
