Advertised on carsales.com-au 12 July 2018, asking AUD$195,000 (To be sold Unregistered & with Victorian RWC). Seller's description:
"1962 JAGUAR E-TYPE SERIES 1 OTS Car No: 850499 Body No: 3608
Driving off the production line on the 17th of April 1962 bound for Capital Motors by way of Henlys of London, this Factory Right Hand Drive, Open Two seater was just the 499th built to this specification..........., Imported into Australia in the early seventies this E-Type was sold on the 17th of June 1975 to a gentleman from Bentleigh, Victoria, who owned the SI for just shy of 43 years! Prior to the sale in 1975 the Jaguar was mechanically upgraded using later E-Type componentry, with the fitment of a S1 E-Type 4.2L engine ( Eng No: 7E8996-9), all-synchro gearbox, S2 brakes and S2 cooling system, allowing this Jaguar to have all the best components from the 6 Cylinder E-Types, wrapped in the prettiest body."

Again advertised for sale on carsales.com.au on 3 April 2020 asking AU$179,500. The car is located in Victoria, Australia.

Added to the previous sales description is information that in recent years the Jaguar has received a new set of Dayton 72 spoke chrome wire wheels, a new stainless steel exhaust system from the primary mufflers back and a Pertronix Flame-Thrower electronic ignition distributor.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
