    Car offered at:
    www.aston.co.uk/carsales_index.php

    Sellers description:
We have just finished a very lengthy restoration of a very interesting Jaguar 3.8 E-Type Roadster Flat Floor model with outside latches. This car has been totally restored from the ground up sparing no expense, the body and paint alone cost £30,000.She is finished in Siera Blue as she left the factory in 62, a rare but stunning colour.
All the mechanicals are fully restored with upgraded front brakes and suspension.
No. 80 off the first ever production line of E-Types makes this a very rare model indeed and she had only one owner for a period of 35 years!

    Vehicle offered at www.eaglegb.com/cars/1961-series-1-38-roadster-433tvt

    Seller´s description:

A highly collectable E-Type from the first batch to leave the factory.

This is the 40th E-Type ever made and was, as such, part of the first batch of E-Types to leave the factory. They were the 'dealer demonstrators' and this example was supplied to Byatts of Fenton.

It has done few miles and had only two owners until very recently. The second owner commissioned an extensive professional restoration which was conducted over the course of over many years.

The work was finished in 2009 and the history includes comprehensive documentation including a highly detailed brochure presentation of the entire process illustrated with a great deal of excellent photographs. The documentation notes that the engine was fully rebuilt despite showing little signs of wear - and the mileage showing today is still only 56,355.

This collectable and historically important roadster can be considered in standard and correct specification - although for obvious and sensible reasons the front brake calipers have been uprated, a stainless steel exhaust has been fitted and it is shod with modern and safe Pirelli radials on stainless steel wire wheels.

It has been restored to its original stunning colour combination of dark opalescent blue, red interior and black soft top.
An opportunity to acquire a 'blue chip' collectable.

Chassis No.40, Original Dealer Demonstrator, Supplied to Byatts of Fenton, Extensive Professional Restoration, 56,355 Total Mileage since 1961, Uprated Front Brake Calipers, True 'Blue Chip' Collectable, Opalescent Dark Blue, Red Interior & Black Soft Top

    £195,000

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
