    Ebay item 7/8/14

Current bid $3,650, no reserve 12 bids 2 days left in auction. Car appears to have the picture frame from 1R8272.

    Sellers description:
1971 Jaguar XKE Fixed Head Coupe. Not a 2+2 car.

This car has a three SU carb set-up and smooth cam covers (not original, but very desirable).
    Manual gearbox.
    Air conditioning.
    Wire Wheels.

***Please note that I have not had time to clean this car up for pictures. This car shows so much better than she looks in these pics.***
There is very little rust, if any, in the body. Floors are great. Spare tire well is very good. This car has been kept in indoor storage for many years. It has a NEW complete "original" bonnet from years ago that was never installed on the car. It has an extra monocoque front frame assembly with a clean VIN stamp that comes with the car that is worth at least $2000+. The car comes with a set of high performance exhaust headers. It also has a set of twin SU carbs that come with the car.

The interior is very complete and in very good shape. The only thing missing is the radio. The headliner is in good shape. The rear interior deck area and trim is in good shape. The dash is complete and in good shape. The door panels are in good shape. The seats appear to be good. I would recommend fresh dye on the seats and a new set of rugs.

I have done an inventory on the rest of the car and this is what I see that is missing:

    Front bumpers
    Rear Bumpers
    Left tail light assembly
    Front bumpers
    Front headlamp assemblies(both)
    Air cleaner
    Radiator
    Water pump assembly
    Alternator
Distributor (cap and wires are there)
    Exhaust manifolds
    A/C Compressor (bracket is there)
    Radio (center piece is there)
Spare wire wheel (complete jack assembly is there)

What this car needs is to have it serviced to get it running properly and fresh paint. This would make a very nice driver with less than 50,000 original miles.
Please look at the pictures closely. I have extra pics that detail the interior, the engine, and the body. I have found almost all of these parts thru a friend that is a Jaguar restorer and enthusiast and I can arrange for you to buy the parts from him directly to complete this car for yourself. Engine turns.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
