Current bid $5,100 reserve not met, 11 bids 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1971 XKE Coupe......2 seater NOT 2 + 2.........Has been in storage for 20 years. Owner lost time and interest, complete with many new parts.
Shop that did the small amount of rust repair jacked up the car on the pan. Made a small crack. I dropped the pan and welded it. As I was reinstalling the pan
I turned the crank over to clear the throughs and saw a rod cap move. They ran it out of oil and spun a rod bearing. I stopped trying to make it run.
The old owner said it ran when he took it home. He is giving me back some money and I will sell it for a great price. I have some carburetor parts, boiled out the fuel tank and cleaned all fuel hose's. This is the last year of the 6 cylinder and a great driver when done. The car is complete and number matching.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
