Sellers description:
1971.5 Jaguar XKE Roadster. One of the last 6 cylinder XKE’s built. I am listing this auto for my father whom has owned it since 1972 (making him the second owner). So here is your chance to own one of the finest examples of a 1971 XKE that I have ever seen. The original color of this auto was British Racing Green and was recently painted Platinum Silver. Along with the exceptional paint job, she has received a Phase I restoration. This was mostly cosmetic with the exception of an engine tune, and new brakes and pads. The seats and bonnet are brand new and in perfect condition. There is no bonnet cover. The tires have less then 100 miles on them and the rims are original and have been re-chromed. The trunk is flawless and the entire car is rust free except for the exhaust lines. There is also all new chrome, rubber, throughout. She starts up every time on the first try and runs exceptionally smooth. All gauges work except for the clock. The bottom slat of the nose/ grill (pictured) was scraped by a mechanic when he opened the hood because the air-shock, which keeps it locked in place, was not attached. Well, that should just about do it. This car is also available for a private showing upon request by the owner in Newport Beach.
