This matching-numbers, unrestored 1971 Jaguar E-Type Series II XKE roadster, with its rare and beautiful color combination of Dark Blue over red leather interior, has 8,466 original miles (the mileage is documented with 19 pieces of documentation). It comes with an extensive array of authentic original documentation, including the original Window Sticker, the original car invoice, the original service/warranty book with metal identification plate for dealer service with the original owner’s name, the original signed sales order, copy of the original Bill of Sale, the original Oregon title, the original temporary registration, the original customer copy of the cashier’s check that purchased this car new, the original dealership receipt of purchase for a total of $6,371, several original dealership and other shop service records with original mileage documented. It also includes a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, many period photographs of the car, the original owner’s manual and many supporting pamphlets in the original dealer pouch, the original paper floor mats and litter bag, the original Lucas hanging battery tag and the original tool kit. It is powered by its original matching-numbers 4.2-liter 6-cylinder engine mated to its matching-numbers 4-speed manual transmission, and also has its original AM-SW-FM Phillips radio, telescopic steering column and 4-wheel disc brakes.

Sold at Barrett-Jackson 2019 AZ sale for $160k hammer plus commission. This dark blue on this car was metallic, but not the same as the earlier Opalescent Dark Blue. Did not know such a color was available.
