When the current owner bought FTM 597L he was informed that the car had originated from New Zealand. In 2002 the car was completely refurbished including a complete engine, gearbox and transmission overhaul. It was repainted inside and out as the original paint had faded badly. The car has covered around 35,000 miles since the rebuild. This Jaguar has been fitted with fuel injection and air conditioning as per an exported model. In addition a stainless steel exhaust and an immobiliser system have been fitted. When purchased, the current owner contacted the original owner, who informed him that he had used the car in the south of France, nearly up until the point that he sold the car. In the relatively short current ownership our vendor has had a great deal of fun and he has improved the car greatly in that time. This solid car has never had any structural rust and it has never been driven on salted roads. Now MOT'd until August 2016 this Series III is ready for immediate fun and comes with a V5c.
