Sellers description:
This is a beautiful 1971 Jaguar XK-E Coupe Series III 2+2 V-12 manual transmission. The car was restored in the mid 1990's by its previous owner. During the restoration, this car was gone through both mechanically and cosmetically, including high quality paint, new chrome, and restored wire wheels. The car's interior was redone during the restoration and the trim remains complete and in good condition. The car has been lightly driven and garage stored ever since. Cosmetically it is extremely presentable with good paint and a clean interior. The car drives and shifts well.
Minor cosmetic issues include a chip in the paint on the edge of the back door, small chip near the grill and on the hood. The car rides smooth, but can be rough over bumps, so it may be time to re-due the shocks. The car has been maintained by the same Jaguar mechanic in Sacrament since the 1990's. This is a great opportunity to pick up a icon of the motoring world and a true head turner with a classy red exterior and biscuit interior. The current owner is selling the car due to infrequent use.
