This 1971 Jaguar XKE 2+2 was acquired by the seller in 1988, reportedly from its second owner. It is finished in white over black and is powered by a numbers-matching 5.3-liter V12 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 15″ wire wheels, air conditioning, power steering, an Ansa sport exhaust system, and an AM/FM stereo. Service since 2019 included lubricating the suspension, performing fluid changes, rebuilding the carburetors, and replacing the tires, battery, alternator, and wiring harness, as well as servicing the air conditioning and the fuel system. This Series III XKE is now offered with service records dating back to 1988, a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, manufacturer’s literature, a repair manual, spare and removed parts, and a clean Delaware title in the seller’s name.

The car was originally delivered in white and was refinished in 1989. Features include chrome bumpers with overriders, a left-side mirror, venting rear quarter windows, a side-hinged rear hatch, “V12” badging, tinted glass, and quad exhaust outlets. Chips have been touched up during current ownership, and blemishes can be seen in the gallery below. Service since 2019 included replacing the front bumpers as well as the marker lenses, bulbs, and seals. The removed bumpers and additional parts are included in the sale.

Chrome 15″ wire wheels wear Yokohama Avid tires showing 2019 date codes. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. The steering rack has been rebuilt, and service since 2020 included lubricating the suspension, fitting braided stainless-steel brake lines, flushing the brake fluid and power-steering system, and replacing the lower A-arm bushings and radius arm bushings.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a sliding rear bench trimmed in black leather, along with matching carpets and door panels. Equipment includes air conditioning, lap belts, a passenger grab bar, rubber front floor mats, an analog clock, a rear defroster, a locking glovebox, and an AM/FM radio. The rear carpet, headliner, sun visors, and headrest foam inserts were replaced during current ownership. The air-conditioning system has been converted to R134a refrigerant and the seller notes that the compressor, hoses, dryer, expansion valve, and fan-speed switch were replaced in 2019. The seller notes that the seatbelt sometimes require assistance to retract.

A leather-wrapped steering frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges are mounted in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 14k miles, approximately 4k of which were added during current ownership.

The 5.3-liter V12 features aluminum construction and was factory rated at 314 horsepower and 349 lb-ft of torque when new. The water pump and engine mounts have been replaced, and service since 2017 reportedly includes rebuilding the carburetors, flushing the fuel system, and installing a Butec alternator and an SNG ignition system, as well as replacing the battery, starter, wiring harness, spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, and coolant hoses. Emissions components have been removed and are included in the sale, along with exhaust system components.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The transmission mount has been replaced, and service in 2022 included replacing the the radius arm bushings and shock absorbers.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate shows the original colors and powertrain numbers, along with a build date of June 4, 1971.

Service records and the seller’s maintenance notes dating back to 1988 are included in the sale, along with documents from previous owners and spare and removed parts.

The VIN on the current Delaware title matches the car number above. The VIN on the door jamb sticker contains an L in place of the S.
