Car on ebay 10/8/23

www.ebay.com/itm/374974963644

Current bid $5,100 reserve not met 9 bids, 6 days left in auction, seller txluxury, 53k miles, car now in Alvin, Texas

Seller's description:

Up for auction is this incredible, highly documented Concours D'elegance winner and JCNA registered 1971 Jaguar E-type xke v12 series III 2+2 coupe with manual gearbox and 53k original, documented miles. all number matching original engine and drivetrain. Only 3 owners since new - 3rd owner acquired vehicle in 1980 with 24k miles.

This jaguar has been featured in 12 Concours D'elegance shows and scored 999.9x multiple times. The highest scoring was 999.99 (which is judged out of a highest score of 1000 points) in 2007. Also, this jag includes a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate.

This vehicle was meticulously maintained by all previous owners with all records to prove it. It was always maintained, serviced and kept up with. If any repairs or parts were needed throughout its lifetime, they were always repaired or replaced with factory OEM replacements and was always worked on by certified Jaguar mechanics. There was no expense spared. Thousands upon thousands of dollars worth of receipts.

There are tons of extensive documentation and service records since 1971 including photocopy of original title and dealer paperwork, factory owners operating manuals, tool set, sales brochures, shop books, driver logs, etc.

This e-type has a very rich history and is a well known car that can be found on JCNA North Georgia website where it was exhibited in shows from 1995 to 2009.

Mr. Sherman, the third owner and caretaker of this exquisite vehicle, sadly passed in late 2010. After his passing, vehicle was stored in a climate controlled storage and has been driven less than 200 miles since. The current condition of the vehicle is still outstanding and looks phenomenal but it is starting to show minor signs of age such as some of the weather stripping and rubbers are starting to wear and the original interior seats are beginning to stress and there are minor paint bubbles on the bonnet and a few small paint scratches. The vehicle was last driven about 2 years ago. The engine turns over strongly and will start with external fuel source. The clutch is soft and will not engage along with the brakes. Everything else still works. This jag just needs a fresh tune up and the clutch and brakes addressed to get it back on the road. It rolls and steers easily. It can be loaded for transportation easily.

Other than the issues stated, this vehicle is a prime example of a true survivor and well preserved jaguar. You will not find another like this one with so much history, documentation and in original condition.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
