Sellers comment:
You are bidding on a 1971 BARN FIND XK-E 2+2 V12. I found this car in a garage where it had been sitting on jack stands, covered for 30 years. If you have EVER wanted an XK-E with no rust in it, well now you have found it. I have had this car looked at by 2 Jag experts, neither one of them could find any rust in the car. Since finding it, I have replaced all the rubber water lines. The gas tank was dry when I found the car, as the owner had cleaned it out for storage. I replaced the fuel lines installed new fuel filter, put oil in cylinders for a few days, installed plugs and new battery. After a few cranks it started right up, couldn't believe it myself. ALL and I MEAN ALL the switches work and the clock keeps time. Even the A/C system blew cold. I installed new tyres, check the brakes, filled and bled the system, everything worked. This is the 509th car produced, it is willow green, I have been told this is a rare color for a V12 car. The interior is green also. I have been driving this car so the mileage will be different when it is sold. I have 10 cars and really wanted to keep this one, but business and other commitments say it has to go. According to Jaguar I am the 1st owner of this car, but I know that is not right, and have written to them giving them more information on it, just waiting for their reply. I have all the books that came with it and the pouch they came in.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
