Offered here is a Series 3 V12 2+2 coupe, an original home market and therefore righthand drive car, which first left Jaguar's historic Browns Lane factory in 1972.
Fully and professionally restored by Connaught Design of Hayes, Middlesex, during the mid-1980s, the fixed head was completely stripped to the bare monocoque and then fully rebuilt to achieve what, in effect, was a `new car' with various modern upgrades, including air-conditioning, to make it more user-friendly for daily driver use.
Following the completion of all the work, FHA 759K was given a 1989 valuation by a Midlands Jaguar specialists for insurance purposes of cú85,000. Since the restoration, the car has only done less than 15,000 miles, whilst the overall mileage reading of 67,431 when entered for this auction is believed by the vendor to be the genuine total mileage from new.
The current condition of the chassis frame at the front is described as very good, with the monocoque, body panels and Pearl metallic paintwork also very good as is the red hide interior. Both the 5.3-litre V12 and auto-shift transmission are reportedly in good order. Whilst the current MOT test certificate will be valid until next September.
