Advertised for sale on carsales .com .au on 24 February 2015 asking AU$82,500. Seller states that the car has travelled 36,000 miles. Seller's description (in part) follows: "The car has original chassis, engine and gearbox numbers, also has Heritage Certificate from Jaguar. The interior has been refurbished by Blackmans and mechanicals serviced by Caulfield Jag. The car drives beautifully and looks stunning. It is finished in Regency Red paintwork with Beige interior. The Unique Number Plates are being sold with the car. V EJAG 1. I have upgraded the vehicle with Sat Nav, blue tooth phone connection, rear camera, DAB radio and DVD player, however I have kept the original AM/Cassette player which can easily be re fitted. Also fitted with central locking and immobiliser. I purchased the car in England and imported from the UK in 2013."

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
