I owned this car from c.1977 until c.1984. I paid £3000 for it and sold it for £6000 (I think). During my ownership, I replaced the bonnet and fitted a stainless steel exhaust. It always returned 13 mpg regardless of how, when or where it was driven. I always drove it in a relatively sedate fashion but I do know it would do 80 mph in second gear.

I bought this car with my father, we invested together. Purchased around 1986 for £9,000 and sold around 1990 for £18,000.

Should have hung onto it but the sale helped my buy my first house.

If your the new owner I have some photos I can email you.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
