For sale at Jordan Fox Cars of Stamford for £89,995. Abbreviated and amended seller's description below.
www.jordanfoxcars.co.uk/cars/jaguar/e-type/6.0-v12-conversion,-only-25,000-miles ...
Convertible 6 litre conversion, only 25,000 miles, a rare opportunity to own a unique E Type roadster tuned in period by Forward Engineering. Chassis 1S2727 is presented in its original colour of Pale Primrose, retains all its original panels and has never been welded as the car was Ziebart rust proofed when new. The original black seats have been replaced by Recaro cloth seats and there are a raft of tasteful modifications to improve performance and handling. These include custom made alloy wheels, ventilated front discs, rear arches extended to allow wider rear tyres, suspension upgraded with Koni springs and dampers, improved anti roll bar drop links and fitting of 6 Weber IDF down draft carbs, and a stainless steel exhaust system.
In 1976 the car was fitted with Wolfrace wheels and a rollbar, as seen in the photos. In 2008 the car had new brake pipes and in 2016 a gearbox and suspension overhaul with new Koni springs and dampers. In 2023 a 200 hour overhaul was completed by Historic Motorsport to include replacement hard top and steering wheel, new tyres and alternator, carbs rebuilt and freshening up of paintwork. There is a history file with full service records and MoT certificates from 1978-1989, 2002-2003 and 2009-2013 all backing up the car's low mileage. It has the original order form, service booklets and Jaguar Heritage certificate. There is a 1974 parts catalogue. A short drive will tell you this is no standard S3 V12!
