For sale at Eagle E Types of Uckfield. Described as a spectacular, important and low mileage roadster. Built in May 1974, just a month before production ended, this handsome Series 3 roadster was among the last Jaguar E Types built. Originally destined for a life in the USA far from Browns Lane, this roadster was repatriated in 1990 and bought by Jaguar Chairman William Hayden.
It seems only fitting that Jaguar's top brass should own the very best example of the marque's most famous model and Mr Haydon had the car re-commissioned by the specialists at Vicarage. An important part of the comprehensive and documented work included establishing the authenticity of the odometer which at that stage read just 6,000 miles. After a forensically detailed inspection, it was proved to be 'without a shadow of doubt true and correct.'
Thoroughly gone through and superbly refinished in the original white paintwork, complemented charmingly by the dark blue leather interior, the E Type stands today in still remarkable condition having accumulated just 5,000 more miles under Mr Hayden's ownership. This E Type has just benefited from another specialist freshening the body, paint, mechanics and interior to bring it to superb confidence inspiring condition. A manual gearbox makes this a fantastic driver's car , with the V12 engine perfectly suited to touring.
A sensational 11,000 miles from new V12 roadster with a proven provenance and in wonderful stunning order, this is a terrific example of the appreciating V12 Series 3 E Type. £195,000.

With just 11,503 miles from new, this exceptional V12 is from the last month of E-Type production and was owned by Jaguar Chairman William Hayden
Originally exported to the USA, it was acquired by Jaguar Chairman William Hayden for his personal use in 1990.
It underwent a recommission at Vicarage, the leading Jaguar specialists of the time, who were also able to confirm that the mileage was, as indicated, just 6,000 miles from new.
Refinished to a very high standard in the matching white paint while retaining the original dark blue leather interior, it has since been driven just another 5,000 miles by Mr. Hayden.
Having been superbly maintained and refreshed, every part of this V12 is in excellent condition, from the bodywork and mechanicals through to the exterior and interior finishes.
With the manual gearbox matched to the V12 engine this is an excellent touring E-Type of some considerable importance. It can be enjoyed 'as is' but can also benefit from our range of upgrades and improvements.
