This car is a series 3, which was introduced in 1971 and built until 1974 with uprated brakes and power steering as standard. The convertible used the longer 2 plus 2 floor pan and the fabulous Jaguar 5.3 V12 engine.
AJW 554M was supplied in 1974, the last year of production, as a right hand drive UK Roadster with a manual gearbox finished in the classic combination of Silver with red leather upholstery. The car comes with the original log book, all annual MOT's and service invoices to support the low mileage and the original hand books. The vendor, a Midlands-based friend of Silverstone Auctions, purchased the car in 1976 from a close friend of his when it had covered just 2,000 miles from new and has owned and run it ever since, using it only sparingly on trips to Le Mans and various Tours and holidays.
It is extremely rare to find such a low mileage and completely original Jaguar E-Type in unmolested and unrestored condition. Sensibly guided and presented as described, this car is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy wind in the hair motoring in a true British classic, whilst making a solid and sound financial investment for the future. Form an orderly queue please!
