We are always pleased to offer any model of the Jaguar range of cars and especially examples of the 'E' Type. This car is one of the most desirable of all post-war Jaguars in the form of a 1973 registered 'E' Type V12 Roadster which comes with the more useable three speed automatic transmission.
Having inspected it we can only describe it as being in excellent order throughout with the bodywork being finished in Red and it having the Black leather interior trim and matching hood and hood cover. It also benefits from having the factory fitted chrome wire wheels and of course it comes with the superb 5343cc V12 engine. When started the engine sprang into life first time and maintained a good oil pressure and the cockpit of the car showed very little wear which could indicate that the 49000 miles registered on the odometer could be correct from new - this is partly what substantiated by letters in the history file.
This is an original right hand drive U.K. supplied car and it is one of the best 'E' Type V12 Roadsters we have seen recently and it should have a full and current M.O.T. by the time of the sale however you should check this with the document office before the sale.
An exceptional car throughout which is being sold with its original registration number - WKX 1M.

    Auction description:
    Saturday 10th January 2004
    Lot 323 1973 Jaguar E-type V-12 Roadster
    Registration no: WKX 1M
    Chassis no: 152098BW
    Estimate: £16,000-20,000
    Hammer price 21,467

This fine example delights in having fitted, the practical automatic gearbox, leaving the driver free to plant his foot into the Wilton and simply revel in that glorious exhaust note. It has been the subject of a mechanical restoration in 1999/2000 by famous Jaguar specialist, Ken Bell. This nudged WKX 1M into the limelight, starring as it did, in a German documentary film in location in London and featuring a very famous politician.

Finished in Signal Red, with a contrasting black leather interior, the V12 E-Type combines all the power and the glory that this episode of Jaguars history so rightly deserves.
