Ebay item 11/21/09
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-1969-JAGUAR-XKE-CONVERTIBLE-NEEDS-REST ...
Current bid $4,050 reserve not met, 18 bids 9 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1969 JAGUAR XKE CONVERTIBLE THAT NEEDS RESTORED. THE CAR IS COMPLETE EXCEPT FOR THE SHARE WHEEL AND TIRE. BODY, FRAME, AND TRUK AREA ARE ALL SOLID. THERE IS SOME RUST IN THE PASSENGER DOOR. THE FLOORS ARE RUSTED AND WOULD NEED REPLACED. I AM THE THIRD OWNER OF THE CAR.

MECHANICALLY THE ENGINE DOES TURN OVER. I DONT THINK IT WOULD TAKE MUCH TO GET THE CAR IN RUNNING CONDITION. THE BRAKES WOULD NEED SOME WORK. IT IS A MATCHING NUMBER. ONLY HAS 31000 ORIGINAL MILES. THE CAR CAR HAS BEEN IN STORAGE FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS.

THE INTERIOR OF THE AR WILL NEED TO BE REDONE. CARPET NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. GLASS IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE. CHROME ALSO NEEDS TO BE REDONE. DRIVER SEAT IS IN GOOD SHAPE. PASSENGER BOTTOM SEAT HAS A TEAR.

THIS WOULD BE A NICE CAR TO RESTORE.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
