Price $29,500.

Sellers comment:
1969 XKE OTS
ID# 1R8030
ENG# R3175-9 matching on frame rail/engine block & ID plate...all matching
"orig" color willow green with blk interior & soft-top. Appears to have only covered 34,998k miles since new.. (but maybe the speedo was changed?)
Painted once since new in it's "orig” color Excellent door fit both sides all orig bolt heads on door a-posts "orig" boot cover with car & in very good condition
Almost new or "orig" excellent blk correct vinyl soft-top (fitting very nicely indeed)
This car was Just serviced by 20 yr Jag mechanic...
$3,500 just spent on head reconditioning/service & lubrication Reported to test drive run & shift magnificently by same mechanic "Orig" boot mat/knock-off hammer & wheel hub wrench Some orig carpeting (seats redone in ok to good cond blk vinyl) & a couple of carpet foot pieces replaced with incorrect black carpet material (rest of carpet is "original") one small scratch on bonnet & a minor hand push mark on the deck-lid near RHS edge area & one small chip at petrol lid touched up; (the 2-orig grommets are missing on deck @ petrol lid) therefore lid made chip when closing once
Steering wheel is a Motolita 15"
Appears to have had a "new" brake master cylinder & "new" clutch master cylinder installed very recently..
A frame suspension bushings looked ok to quite good & flexible brake hoses appeared ok & not cracked & steering rack boots were fairly new & not leaking..
Both floor pans underneath have been bumped up a bit (normal) for e-type & have the original reddish primer still on them..(nice to see them "so" original; & not ever rusted. Rear trailing arm points were "perfect" All rear fender edging & double edged seamed lips & sunken heat welds in that area were "perfect" & never disturbed from new..
Orig exhaust manifolds were painted heat paint silver by request of present owner at time of full service..
Windscreen has one small wiper mark in it....
Very good "orig" chrome all around (one small ding on LH Front overrider face...only
"Orig" factory paint on all frame rails & under car & on radiator protector brace..
"NO" rust ever
No major accidents ever..
(one small repair done on RHS inside boot wall in boot cavity lower section only & one small push from human hand on rear deck lid close to edge.(already mentioned above)....... (dent buster can repair easily as no paint is damaged)

Current bid $21,656 reserve not met 4 bids 6 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar, E-Type, "XKE", roadster, 36,011 miles, willow green/black, nice original condition and well sorted, even compression throughout all cylinders, no rust, past or present, original color, excellent brakes with plenty of pad life left, quiet idle, no smoke, revs easily to red line with good power, excellent smooth transmission & clutch, new battery, starts immediately, oil pressure 40+ PSI, not a "trailer queen" and has some cosmetic flaws consistent with it's use as a "driver", current PA state safety inspection good until 3/13.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
