Ebay item 7/13/04
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/ebayISAPI.dll
Opening bid $20,000.00, no bids yet, 3 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Beautiful 1969 Jag XKE Convertible OTS Roadster
This car is a real "head-turner" !
It has a 4.2 Liter, 6 cyl engine with 2 stromberg carbs. 4 speed manual transmission. Odometer reading: 59,907 miles
Metallic bronze exterior paint with tan interior. Great driver with chrome wheels and a strong clutch.
Motor runs strong with good oil pressure. Good brakes.
Vehicle Condition
The interior looks good - new door panels and wool carpet. Seats are not leather, but still look very nice. The convertible top is in good shape; no holes or tears and it has a clear back window.
The trunk is carpeted and the remote latch works.
Gauges work, most everything appears to be original; except the radio. The radio is an AM/FM/Cassette and works fine. The heat does not presently work.
All in all, this is a great driver and a real beauty. It's not a "show car", not perfect cosmetically, but a wonderful, reliable '69 JAG.

Car returns to ebay 5/30/16

The car has been garaged this entire time and ran very little, thus if you are local you will need to trailer the car. The car runs rough but does turn over easily as you'll see in the video. There is evidence of prior sheet metal work you can see in the photos which was done before I owned the car. I don't see rust showing in any location but I am referring to prior work on the floors, trunk, and interior panels (wheel well) on the bonnet. As you can see the body lines are very good, glass is good, and chrome is good. The car is best described as a "20 footer". I have taken close ups on the paint (bonnet) , the convertible top, chrome and interior. I don't have the numbers on the transmission but I was told the car was matching numbers when I purchased but this wasn't confirmed. You'll see it's in good condition and the car would be a good candidate for moving to show quality with the right effort.
