Bought a 1970 XKE 2+2 that is unmolested and is all original except that the A/C compressor is missing. Your Help would be greatly appreciated.
I I look forward to chatting with all the folks on this site.
FYI. Being a Brit, immigrating to Boston, moved to Maryland for 18 years and have now living in Jersey City NJ and working in Manhattan for the last 7 years. I started with a new 1974 MGBGT then a 72TR6 then a 73 MGB roadster then a 19741/2 MGBGT and finally with the car I have always wanted, have reached the Jackpot, both financially and emotionally..........Worth the 50 year wait.
    Cheers to all,
    Andy

The car was damaged moving from Florida to New Jersey. With this explanation: I just purchased this Jaguar from Florida.

The car was delivered to me from the local shipping company by Flatbed truck. When coasting the car off the flatbed into my garage the delivery driver did exactly that, but failed to stop in time and hit the frame and drywall at the rear of the garage (photo attached). Not a good start to my day.

So, I have reluctantly decided that as the car was damaged and no longer an unmolested vehicle, I have lost interest in this wonderful car.

I paid a little less than $15,000 for the car. .Although reluctant to sell, the buy now price is less than the average for this car even allowing for the damage cost, as I wish to sell this car on the first time listed.
I have the written estimate for repair ($1,746.88) which includes replacement of the chrome motif bar and repair of related bodywork and repainting. Side chrome bumpers and over-riders are undamaged and in good condition.(photos attached)

The paper work pictured shows a "P" at the beginning of the VIN number so the car must have rare power steering option.

Car is now advertised on EBay as being located in Jersey City, New Jersey and states the car has 103070 miles on it.
