Sellers description:

1969 Jaguar E Type that I am selling due to my move to Washington DC. I do not feel comfortable parking this car on the street. This is a Texas car that is currently running beautifully. I took the car to Classic Jaguar in Austin for repairs immediately after I purchased it October 2006 in Houston. I picked the car up June 2007 while on my R&R. The repairs they made follow: correctly mounted the new tires; cylinder head removal, rebuild, and reinstallation; carbs rebuilt; new fuel pump; new kevlar hose kit; timing adjusted; carbs tuned; new water pump; new ignition switch; and new Red Top Optima battery. They did a top notch job and the car has served as my daily driver since I redeployed with no problems. Less than 1,000 miles since the engine rebuild. I've made some small repairs...replaced the seat cushions, had the clock converted to run off a AA battery, new shift boot, and waxed the bad paint weekly. So what does the car need...the AC does not work, the headliner is sagging, the interior is original and old...although seats are in fair condition with a nice patina, the body needs to be repainted and there are several scratches to fix in the process...there is also a ding under the left rear bumper.

This car needs nothing. I had it gone through for maintenance over the last 3 months. I have had this car for 15-20 years. The car has a modern a/c compressor. The radio works. The steering wheel is original. I have a similar appearing expensive wood steering wheel that is about 2 inches smaller in diameter that I will throw in. It would make it easier to get in and out of car. No rust.
