Sellers description:
This car will need a total restoration. I purchased this auto around 1972. I believe I was the 2nd owner before transferring title to my wife this year. I enjoyed the car for about 8 years, but then family obligations caused me to roll the car into the barn. At the time I put the car up, I believe the brakes were about gone. After sitting in the barn both covered and uncovered most of the time, I have decided to let someone else restore this Jag. Since this has been untouched for the last 25 years, I have no idea what will be involved in bringing this car back to drivable condition. There is no brake or clutch pressure. I do not know the condition of the air conditioning. The tires, though holding air are flat spotted and probably have some dry rot. Needless to say, all of the rubber seals, belts and hoses will need replacing. The engine should turn freely, but I have no way to tell you the condition of the motor. As I have said, this Jaguar will need a total restoration, but all of the parts are intact, including the steel ring used to knock the wheels off. The only broken lens is a red lens on the driver side rear quarter panel. The body has only light surface rust and the bonnet has damage around the nose. The rest of the body has minor dings and scratches and the rear hatch sometimes catches on the body. Hinges probably need adjustment. The doors and bonnet all close and fit tightly. All of the chrome is on the car with the exception of the E-type logo that attaches to the rear hatch. We will provide a clear Georgia title along with a bill of sale. The Jag, though titled, has not been registered in the last 25 years.
