Ebay item 12/14/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-E-Type-1970-Jaguar-XKE-E-Type-/29051221439 ...
Opening bid $12,000, no reserve, no bids yet 6 days left in auction. 63k miles.
Sellers description:
This Jaguar was purchased in 1976 by its present owner. The car has been garaged and never driven in the rain or bad weather.
The vehicle is garaged in Nashville, TN.
This Jaguar has an automatic transmission, 6 cylinder, STD Hemy for that model year.
Tires are good, Wheels original, AM/FM Cassette player, Original leather interior ( has a few slits around some of the seams) Original Paint ( in good shape except for a few chips and dings), Original glass, slight tint.
Exhaust system has been replaced. New battery, alternator, and fuel pump.
Brake work was done at 62,000 miles. Replaced front rotors and pads, master cylinder. Brake tandem and slave cylinder and booster were rebuilt with Jaguar kit.
Radiator and fan were rebuilt and various hoses replaced.
This Jaguar is in good condition at last inspection. There was no evidence of immediate repairs needed.
The transmission has a leak, as most E types do. New owner will probably want to drain and reseal the transmission.
Passenger side door opens only from inside or outside with a key.
Air-conditioner does not work.
Driver side seat belt has jam in the roller.
Oil Pan is not original. Replaced with aftermarket pan about 15 years ago.
Rubber Seals around bumpers and side windows old and cracked. Chrome missing from the back window. Have the chrome part and can be reinstalled over the new rubber.
The 4.2 liter engine sounds and performs well. Original suspension and steering good.
