Seller's description:
I am helping sell this absolutely-gorgeous, super-cool, extremely-desirable, survivor, 1970 Jaguar XKE, 2-seater coupe, to help settle the estate of a classic car lover. Since purchased new, this great classic has only 67,855, original miles. This car has always been garage-kept, extremely pampered and very well maintained. It has an absolutely gorgeous, 99% straight, rust and ding-free body. It is not a flawless show car - it is an extremely-nice, well preserved survivor.
The interior looks, feels and smells fantastic. The rest of the inside is just as nice - from the door panels, dash, steering wheel and headliner, to the carpet and engine compartment. Never any kids, pets or smoking. The undercarriage is just as impressive as the rest of the car.
The car was just pulled out of over 30 years of long term, dry storage. We got it running very easily. The numbers-matching, 4.2-litre, inline, 6-cylinder motor sounds great and the 4-speed transmission feels excellent. It even has air conditioning. It still needs the carburetors and gas tank cleaned and other maintenance from sitting. It was finished 35-years-ago and is still looking beautiful today. The bumpers could use to be re-chromed or a new set is available on eBay - new for $959.00.
It is not a flawless show car - it is a very nice, well preserved car. I tried taking pictures of all angles, so you can see just how nice this car really is. The entire car is nicely detailed and ready for the most discriminating collector, enthusiast or classic sports car lover.
